How to read the Irish Times and Independent for free every day
Wicklow Library services, just like those around the country, now offer an online service where you can manage your account, check availability of books, order titles and extend loan dates. Signing up is simple. All you need to do is visit your local library branch, and request a PIN code to access the website. It really is a very simple process and many people just don’t know about it.

Even if you have used the online service, one feature that you may not know about is the ability to read full colour newspaper reproductions via the Pressdisplay.com website. The Irish Independent and The Irish Times can be viewed online as well as approximately 250 other titles from around the world. Viewing a newspaper online at Press Display is not like the typical website experience. These are the actual pages of the newspaper exactly as they appear on paper. A subscription to Press Display would normally cost upwards of $9.95 a month but your membership of the library allows you to view it all for free.
Access to Press Display on the Library website is located at Borrower Details/Subscribed Resources.
More information on Wicklow Libraries are found on Wicklow County Council’s website.
