A big night for County Wicklow on Saturday 25th
Saturday 25th February 2006 at midnight will see the official kick off celebration of Wicklow’s 400th anniversary. A gala event is taking place in Wicklow Gaol
Minister Dick Roche will perform the official launch and the event will be attended by 250 invited guests. The lineup of events on the night includes
Medieval music performance
Young Citizens Award presentation
Cello Performance
Cafe Orchestra
To round the night off, there is a spectacular light show planned which will commemorate the birth of the County some 400 years ago.
