The Wicklow Way is 25 years young this week, and the Management Committee recently organised events to commemorate the event.
Sunday 7th May 2006 saw the unveiling of granite stile and interpretive panel at the beginning of the Wicklow Way at Marley Park followed by a reception in Marley House.

- A Schools Educational Day was held in Wicklow Mountains National Park targeting schools along the Wicklow Way. The educational day involved the schools located along near the Wicklow Way and promoted the message of the ‘Leave no Trace’ code of outdoor ethics.

A hike of the Wicklow Way and celebratory reception in Glenmalure was also held.

The unveiling of a new interpretive sign and granite benches in Wicklow Way Park and heritage reception were held in the village of Clonegal.
