1. Was music in Trinity your first choice on your college application list?
No my first choice was music education which I did for a year but last year I changed to music on its own.
2. Do you come from a family with a tradition for music?
Well my parents both played the piano accordian in their youth and one of my earliest memories is of my Mother playing some tunes for us much to our delight!
3. It’s often said that students in Ireland today aren’t passionate about any particular cause. Do you agree or disagree with this?
I agree with this but to be fair to the students I think that this is a result of our economic prosperity.
4. What is the proudest moment of your life so far?
Winning gold in the egg and spoon race in 1989! Wow I can still remember crossing the finish so clearly!
5. You are stranded on a desert island and you only have 3 pieces of music on your Ipod. What would you like them to be?
Something by Joanna Newsome, some Debussy, maybe La Mer and Final Fantasy my new favourite band!
6. Do you set goals for yourself and if so, would you like to share one of those goals?
Yes I do set goals but unfortunately I never stick to them!
7. My 3 ideal dinner guests would be….
Enid Blyton (Although I’ve heard that she was a weapon!), Philip Glass and Leonardo Da Vinci so I could ask him the code!
8. Not a lot of people know this but I am very good at….
Making buns! I can make lots of different flavours too!

Well for the moment I have one more year of college and after that the world is my oyster.
