The Department of Health and Children has announced a 6.35M Euro investment package for County Wicklow for 2006–2010.

Five projects are to benefit from the investment. The projects are:

• Extension to health centre Arklow EUR1.5 m 
• Arklow addiction centre refurbishment EUR800,000 
• Community care pilot project location not decided EUR800,000
• Refurbish health centre Newtownmountkennedy EUR1.25 m. 
• Replacement health centre Rathdrum EUR2m.
