www.wicklowweather.com today recorded a record breaking high of 29.2 degrees. This is the highest temperature ever recorded by the Ashford based weather station.
This temperature equals the temperatures reached during the record breaking summer of 1995. In that year, a temperature of 29.2 degrees was recorded on July 11th and 12th in Kilkenny.
The highest air temperature ever recorded in Ireland was 33.3 degrees at Kilkenny Castle in June 1887.
