€1.5 billion shopping centre development planned for Greystones

An 80 acre site at Charlesland in Greystones has been earmarked for a devlopment which could be worth up to €1.5 billion. Property developers Sean Mulryan and Sean Dunne plan to build a shopping centre in Greystones which will be roughly the same size as the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin.

The plan also includes provision for offices and housing. If Wicklow County Council approve the plan, the shopping centre will cover an area of 41,000 square meters and will be splut on 2 levels. The developers already have links with Greystones having built houses in Charlesland.

3,700 square meters of parking space is part of the proposal as well as 32,000 square metres of offices built in nine blocks of 3 to 4 stories each.
