Congratulations to Ann-Marie Kelly from Newtown who won €10,000 for the charity of her choice in the Lyons Tea Charity Giveaway. Ann-Marie’s chosen charity was Barnacoyle School. Her son Cian attends the school and he is pictured above along with Ann-Marie and Harry Cullen of Barnacoyle School.

Ann-Marie’s entry was chosen by a panel of esteemed judges, as they felt her chosen charity had made a visible difference to her family’s life. As a mother of an autistic child herself, Ann-Marie demonstrated in her letter, the hope and promise the school provides to parents in her situation.

The charity giveaway by Lyons is one of the nicest competitions to be run in Ireland and so different from the usual “me me me” type competition. Over a 12 month period, Lyons will give away €120,000 to the charities nominated by the winners.
