It’s time to get your walking shoes on
The 5th annual Wicklow Family Summer Walk organised by Pat Lawless takes place this year on Sunday May 14th.
The walk is in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, and to date €62,000 has been raised. This helps fund vital research on Cancer and clinical trials.
The walk starts at the Leitrim Lounge in Wicklow Town and proceeds right along the coastline to Killoughter (where refreshments are served) and then back to the Leitrim Lounge again for a total distance of 10 kms.
So if you had a new years resolution to start walking and have yet to start, maybe now is the time to pick up a sponsorship form and plan to do the walk in May.
