Ballyknocken House & Cookery School to host unique event for International Women’s Day
Thursday 8th March 2007 is the Centenary Anniversary of International Women’s Day. To mark this event, Catherine Fulvio is hosting an enlightening, de-stress and immensely rewarding & enjoyable day for women who want to take a little time out for themselves.
At the event on the day, attendees will learn how to make their own herbal spa treatments. After being greeted by Chef Catherine Fulvio at Ballyknocken Cookery School with Lemon balm slives and fresh coffee, a tour of Catherine’s splendid herb garden will take place, allowing each person to smell and inhale the aromas of the wonderful herbs and be educated about their benefits and uses.
After that, it’s off to the kitchen and, under Catherine’s expert guidance, you will learn how to make some delicious and soothing treatments for yourself or as gifts for friends.
Included in the course are some of the following : Peppermint foot soak, Herbal hair rinse, Brown sugar scrub, Chamomile & Honey mask, Lavender bubble bath and Oatmeal-Rosemary foot scrub.
The class is followed by a 3 course luncheon and a full suite of recipes is included.
