Kristina Grimes in The Apprentice Final
Many people in Wicklow will be watching the final of The Apprentice with great interest on Wednesday evening. Battling it out to see who will win a £100,000 a year job with Sir Alan Sugar is Cambridge graduate Simon Ambrose and pharmaceutical sales manager Kristina Grimes. Wicklow born Kristina is considered the favourite to win the show which started out with 16 candidates from thousands of applicants.
36 year old Grimes, currently lives in Harrogate with her 18 year old son. She had to struggle to support herself and her son and get a university degree in mathematics. Her parents are still based in Ireland.
Regardless of the outcome on Wednesday, it is a “no-brainer” that Kristina will have the pick of any number of jobs. In fact, one of Ireland’s leading entrepeneurs has already said that she can have a job with him if the outcome does not go her way. Michael Carey, who won the Ernst and Young Industry Entrepeneur of the Year award in 2005, thinks she is highly skilled and said “‘‘I would hire her myself. She has more basic common sense and a better ability to communicate than most of the English contestants who have featured.”
The final of The Apprentice goes out on BBC One TV on Wednesday 13th June.

I am gutted. GUTTED. I am a 33 year old single mum and I live in the UK and yes, I was totally biased towards Kristina.
Tonight when I saw her son and her Mum, magnamity personfiied I felt truly prud to be Irish.
That woman is amazing. I love her. Sir Alan might have felt she was not the best fit for the job he had in mind but no dubt that girl will have her pick of offers.
Simon did good but tongight she came out on tops.
Kristina, you are fabulous

She is a class act that’s for sure. Was very disappointed she didn’t win but I was happy for Simon too - I think Sir Alan really was torn between them. I don’t think anyone need worry about Kristina’s future though - she will only go onwards and upwards to greater things.

Kristina, you are an inspiration to me and were amazing on the show. I wish you all the very best in all that you do, and no doubt you will succeed at anything.
I also felt truly proud to be Irish when I saw you and your family on the show and heard your story. Hold your head high and stand proud, you truly are a winner.
