DART to be extended to Wicklow Town - or not?
According to the homepage of Broomhall Business Park (located between Rathnew and Wicklow Town), there are plans to extend the DART to Wicklow Town. This is good news if it were true but I haven’t heard or read of any plans for a DART extension to Wicklow Town but maybe I don’t have my ear close enough to the ground. Leave a comment if you have heard anything or is this just a case of overselling on the website?
One other interesting fact that I gleaned from the site is that the business park is only 15 minutes from the M50. It really does the business interests of County Wicklow no good for false information like this to be carried on a website.

Haven’t heard anything about it but it’d be great if it were true. Although there are several trains to Dublin, there are very little between 10am and 1pm…

Yeah, it’s only the 9.40 and 3.00pm after the 7.30 morning train. To be honest, I don’t see the DART being cost effective to Wicklow Town but something better than the current morning service after 7.30 would be welcome.

You wonder would Dublin Area Rapid Transport have to be updated to Wicklow…(W.A.R.T)

I havn’t heard of any Dart plans. And yeah, 15 minutes is a bit optimistic! Although, it isn’t that much longer.
